South Nowra
South Nowra Plant

Specialising in hot and cold mix asphalt and spray seal emulsions, the South Nowra plant was developed to service the South Coast region of New South Wales.

Located in South Nowra, with access from the Princess Highway, State Asphalts NSW have recently established a fixed site asphalt batch plant, following the successful operation of a mobile plant at the site previously. State Asphalts NSW responded to local demand for an asphalt production facility following the gap created by the removal of the previously operated mobile plant which was situated in the area to service project demands. The Marini S.P.A Ultimap 1300 asphalt batch plant; which has been commissioned at the site, can produce hot and cold mix asphalt, modified bitumen products, bitumen emulsion products and supply cutback spray seal.

The South Nowra plant will continue to provide pivotal asphalt products to clients in the wider region, and is able to supply the entire eastern cost and reach as far south as Canberra. With storage capabilities of up to 100 tonnes of asphalt and 200 tonnes of bitumen the plant is capable of producing up to 120 tonnes of product an hour, but its' strength is its' ability to efficiently produce smaller batch quantities to suit each individual clients specific requirements. The modern plant uses state-of-the-art control systems, and due to its nature, provides State Asphalts NSW clients with flexibility in the product they require, despite the required tonnage. The Ultimap 1300 asphalt plant has incorporated the latest technology which allows for the inclusion of Recycled Asphalt Products.

The South Nowra asphalt plant is also complemented by the onsite laboratory.
